Welcome to our garden

Every garden is proof that patience, love, and a little dirt can turn into abundance.

To say gardening is a passion of mine is a bit of an understatement. It has always been a part of my life, but in the last several years, I have switched over to starting most of my own seeds and branching out on new things to grow. Both flowers and vegetables fill my love of gardening. Come along as I share about sowing seeds, saving seeds, and some great veggies and flowers to plant in your garden.

How to Start Your Garden and How-To Guides

You don’t have to know everything to start gardening—you just have to be willing to grow alongside your food.

If you are new to gardening or wanting to learn a new seed starting skill, this is your place to be. From winter seed sowing, to knowing how to start an indoors or out, you can learn more about gardening here.

There are also a lot of how-to guides for growing specific flowers and veggies. Learn from my years of growing experience in many different climates what I have found to work and tips for making sure you are doing the best you can to feed your family and grow beautiful flowers.

Veggie Gardening

When you grow vegetables for your family, you’re feeding more than bodies—you’re feeding roots, memories, and a sense of home.

Learning how to grow food for your family is such an important skill to have. Besides the joy it brings, there are the health benefits of the fresh food, and the security of having food when the store shelves might not always have what is supposed to be on them.

Flower Gardening

You won’t put flowers on the pantry shelf, but you’ll carry their beauty with you long after the season ends.

Growing flowers may not be what people think of for a survival garden, but I would argue that they are. Growing flowers feeds the soul with daily beauty and joy, and that my friends is what we all need.

Garden Projects

Not every garden project is about productivity; some are about making a place you love to be.
